Dave Grant
Managing Director
As Managing Director, Dave takes overall responsibility for all of Scitech’s operations. He is a founding member of Scitech and brings extensive experience that he applies to all aspects of the business. For strategic clients Dave also retains Senior Project Director responsibilities on multi-discipline design and construction projects, benefitting clients through his unrivalled depth of knowledge.
He has an MSc in Construction Project Management, MSc in Construction Law and Dispute Resolution, is a Fellow of the Chartered Institute of Building (FCIOB) and a Member of the Association for Project Management (MAPM). In addition, he holds a NEBOSH National Certificate in Construction Safety and Health.

Marlous van der Hooft
Managing Director -Gmbh
Having nearly two decades of expertise in establishing, managing and leading radiopharmaceutical manufacturing processes, facilities, and sites, Marlous is well-respected within the field. Marlous’s exceptional track record includes the successful launch of 13 production sites across Europe, both for principal and contract manufacturing. Her dedication and leadership have left an indelible mark on the industry, setting the stage for operational excellence and continuous improvement.
With a background in pharmaceutical microbiology, Marlous’s proficiency spans a wide spectrum – from lean manufacturing and process enhancement to quality control, QC method development, validation and compliance, supply chain management, regulatory strategy and medicines licensing.

Colin Parks
Development & Strategy Director
In his role as Development and Strategy Director, Colin is responsible for providing leadership and direction as Scitech continues to grow, ensuring we continue to offer quality service while staying true to our values. He is extremely experienced at understanding client needs ensuring the solution’s that Scitech propose meet our clients’ business goals and adds exceptional value.
In 2006 Colin established the Qualification and Consultancy business unit within Scitech which is grown to become recognised as a leading delivery proposition within the industry with a significant international client base developing over this period.
Colin’s experience, technical know-how and acute business acumen has been honed from 25+ years of experience across multiple international businesses within Europe and the US.. In his role as Development and Strategy Director, Colin supplements his extensive industry experience with an MBA in International Business.

Dan Newell
Commercial Director
Dan is responsible for developing and managing the commercial department, supporting all Scitech design, construction, and validation activities. He leads the commercial team which provides commercial and procurement services for all projects.
He has more than 20 years’ experience in the construction industry working as a quantity surveyor and latterly as commercial manager in the life sciences and technology sectors.
Dan has a BSc (Hons) degree in Construction Management (Quantity Surveying) and is a Chartered Surveyor with the Royal Institution of Chartered Surveyors (RICS).

Simon Howard
Business Infrastructure Director
As Business Infrastructure Director, Simon is responsible for ensuring the high quality of Scitech’s operations through efficient infrastructure and system processes. He joined Scitech in 2003 as CAD Manager and went on to successfully establish the CAD department.
Drawing on experience garnered from a career spanning several decades, and using extensive knowledge of IT, HR, EHS and Admin operations across all offices, Simon progressed to senior IT Management and Quality management positions.
Simon is ITIL and Prince2 qualified and has expertise managing IT projects from conception through to completion. He has trained as an ISO 9001:2015 Internal Auditor and is experienced in ISO 14001:2015.

Edward Fahey
QCS Director / Trustee
Edward joined Scitech in 2004 and is the main client interface for our Qualification and Consultancy Services. He is well versed in every aspect of qualification and validation, with exceptional technical capabilities including specialist knowledge in radiopharmaceutical and biopharmaceutical manufacture and is able to share this knowledge with other Scitech life science and biotechnology experts. His extensive career spans over 20 years during which he has won and overseen Qualification projects for the business across the UK, Europe and the US.
As QCS Director, Edward provides leadership of Scitech’s extensive QCS division, offering operational and technical oversight on all of Scitech’s QCS projects supported by our skilled life science and biotechnology experts of more than 50 qualification and validation specialists.
Edward has a PhD in Biochemical Engineering and a Masters’ in Chemistry and a Degree in Biochemistry.
As QCS Director, Edward provides leadership of Scitech’s extensive QCS division, offering operational and technical oversight on all of Scitech’s QCS projects supported by our skilled life science and biotechnology experts of more than 50 qualification and validation specialists.

Design & Engineering Director
Nicola is a founding member of Scitech who has progressed from Mechanical Project Engineer to Design and Engineering Director during her 20+ years with the company.
Through her considerable experience within the biotechnology and life science sectors, and Chartered Membership of the Institute of Mechanical Engineers, Nicola is responsible for ensuring the successful delivery of all design and engineering projects for Scitech UK while also overseeing business development and expansion opportunities for the business unit.
Nicola is a qualified, Chartered Mechanical Engineer.
Through her considerable experience within the biotechnology and life science sectors, and Chartered Membership of the Institute of Mechanical Engineers, Nicola is responsible for ensuring the successful delivery of all design and engineering projects for Scitech UK while also overseeing business development and expansion opportunities for the business unit.
Nicola is a qualified, Chartered Mechanical Engineer.
Duncan Sansom
UK Design & Engineering Operations Manager
Duncan oversees all Scitech’s construction activities working with our experienced regional business managers, project managers and sector experts to ensure a seamless transition from design to construction and the successful safe delivery of the construction phase of our projects.
He has considerable technical knowledge and depth of experience in delivering projects in design, construction, and project management. Duncan thrives on taking a project from inception to completion within project budgets, timescales and delivering high levels of quality installations. Duncan continues to develop the construction part of our business enhancing our existing full-service offering to life science clients.

Lewis White
Mechanical Engineering Team Leader / Trustee
Lewis is responsible for the management of the Mechanical Engineering team. He is an experienced mechanical engineer with specific specialism in radiopharmaceutical, process, and fine chemical main contracting industries. This includes 11 years in food, beverage, dairy equipment design, manufacture, and commissioning; and 35 years fine chemical, dairy, beverage, and pharmaceutics main contracting.
Lewis has worked on a broad range of projects including the specification, testing and installation of Cyclotrons, R&D and GMP Hot Cells, containment enclosures including associated laboratory facilities, hygienic equipment design, PET/CT and MRI scanner, primary and secondary pharmaceuticals installations and works collaboratively with our life science and biotechnology experts.
He has extensive experience of working in specialist equipment vendors during design, mock-up, build and testing. His extensive site work experience has included construction, mechanical completion, IQ/OQ, commissioning and bringing to operation new and refurbished specialist pharmaceutical and radiopharmaceutical facilities.

Steve Tinson
CSV Senior Project Manager
Steve is responsible for developing and managing the design, delivery and validation of IT and automation systems within the QCS business unit at Scitech. He has over 30 years’ experience working in the pharmaceutical industry and has successfully completed significant computer system implementation and validation projects on behalf of our clients.
Steve is experienced in the interpretation of FDA and EU regulations and guidelines concerning use of computerised systems in GxP critical applications. He has prepared and presented training courses and has presented at industry seminars and conferences. He is a member of the GAMP UK Steering Committee and a co-author of the current revision of the GAMP Good Practice Guide ‘A Risk-Based Approach to Testing of GxP Systems’.

Lauren Wilkinson
Design and Engineering Manager
Lauren is responsible for leading and co-ordinating the Process Engineering team in the delivery of all process engineering project work and works collaboratively with our life science and biotechnology experts. Her experience within the pharmaceutical industry spans more than 15 years, in technical support, process, and project engineering roles and latterly in process engineering design and consultancy. She thrives when working closely with clients to fully understand their process requirements, working through the possible options and then designing and specifying the best technical solution. Lauren continues to develop the process engineering part of our business enhancing our existing full-service offering to life science clients.
Ali Bahari
Bioprocess Consultant
Ali is an accomplished bioprocess engineering consultant and a chartered chemical engineer with significant experience supporting projects at different stages, from concept level and project definition through to the detail design and final delivery. His specialist skills extend across the life science, biopharmaceutical and industrial biotechnology sectors, with a particular focus on biologics manufacturing, cell and gene therapy and novel therapeutics products.
With his strong technical knowledge and engineering background, accompanied by his experience within biopharma manufacturing operation, Ali acts as a sector expert to translate your manufacturing process and develop it into a facility, and define and specify process equipment, clean utilities and support systems for GMP operation.

Mark Rodgers
QCS Regional Manager and Project Manager
Mark has more than 25 years’ experience as a pharmaceutical industry professional operating in validation (CQV), GxP engineering and management. He is one of our life science and biotechnology experts, and his specialisms include management of validation and engineering functional teams across multi sites, terminal sterilisation / aseptic manufacturing support, and quality and productivity improvement projects.
Mark’s wealth of experience in managing projects client-side and as a consultant provide the insight to understand all the requirements and needs of our clients at Scitech. Mark is also able to share his expertise and knowledge with our other Scitech sector experts. This, combined with his sound technical knowledge and management skills, has resulted in an excellent track record for delivering high quality projects that meet time and cost commitments and withstand regulatory scrutiny.

Jonathan Harriss
Architectural Team Leader
As Architectural Team Lead, Jonathan provides design and associated professional and technical support across the business. He has more than 25 years’ experience across a wide range of differing fields, with the past 15 years exclusively within pharmaceutical, R&D and healthcare.
As Design Lead, he applies his sector expert knowledge and experience to develop highly technical facilities, laboratories, pharmaceutical and life sciences projects, alongside our multidisciplinary expert led teams. This covers all stages of the design and construction process from inception to completion with core skills including brief development and stakeholder liaison, concept and scheme design, technical design coordination and process integration all guided by the overall aim of producing imaginative and pragmatic design solutions to best meet client requirements.

Mark Randle
Sales Manager
Mark is an adept sales manager with more than 25 years’ experience in client-facing roles, including 20+ years of business-to-business interaction in the pharmaceutical, life sciences and chemical industries. He is skilled in key account management, new client development, and developing sales within new market sectors.
Throughout his career, Mark has been involved in various stages of the project cycle, from concept to finished facility, which has allowed him to develop a thorough understanding of the requirement for design, engineering and construction services within Scitech.
Mark’s work in assisting companies to develop engineering solutions for product manufacture using sustainable feedstocks has led to involvement in several committees, providing an engineering overview to help set the strategic direction for Scitech, and overseeing the planned implementation of the continuing growth of the biotechnology sector at a national level within the UK.

Steve is a Chartered Member of the Institution of Structural Engineers with an APM Practitioner Qualification and more than 20 years’ experience.
He is an experienced team leader, responsible for managing Scitech’s life science and biotechnology experts, consisting of design teams, engineers and technicians to successfully deliver multiple projects with construction values ranging from thousands to hundreds of millions.

Nadira Adjali
Principal Mechanical Building Services Engineer
Nadira leads our building services design experts and is responsible for delivering the Mechanical and Electrical (M&E) design across all our projects. As an experienced principal mechanical building services engineer, Nadira promotes and actively pursues ongoing improvements in the quality system, project efficiency and innovative design. She is committed to delivering the most practical, robust, and sustainable technical solutions for our clients. Nadira conducts technical design reviews and provides technical support as well as mentoring to all our M&E engineers at Scitech.

Andrew Burgess
Project Lead – Automation, Controls & Instrumentation
Andrew leads Scitech’s control systems design and specification capability. He has significant direct experience of designing and implementing control systems and pharmaceutical Computer Systems Validation.
Andrew skills and expert knowledge at developing User Requirement Specifications and tender packages for automated systems to meet clients’ needs, undertaking bid assessments and subsequent project management of selected control systems suppliers throughout their development process including design and test specification review. His personal experience in all aspects of system development means he can coordinate the necessary works with the wider project delivery and provide added value during the design development processes, as well as during factory and site test witnessing including formal qualification testing.

Clive oversees the development of BIM and the BIM strategy to ensure Scitech has the right tools and software to add value for all our projects from concept design through to construction and handover.
With more than 30 years’ experience using CAD and BIM on a large range of projects, from small domestic through to multi-million-pound pharmaceutical projects, Clive is a well positioned expert to guide the BIM development for Scitech.
Clive has worked predominantly in the pharmaceutical sector as an architectural CAD technician and in BIM development, gaining a good understanding of what is required and what can be delivered in the future using BIM and is able to share this understanding with Scitech’s other sector experts.

Stijn Stengele
Head of Sales, Business Development & Recruitment - Europe
Stijn is the main client interface for new business in Scitech’s European division and is responsible for overseeing the strategic growth and expansion within the western continental Europe. He also has the dual role of Head of Recruitment and is responsible for the growth of the European team and managing the talent acquisition programme within the region by hiring the best sector experts.
Stijn has more than 15 years’ experience in similar roles for several consulting companies, where he has honed his leadership and management skills which he applies to Scitech. He is passionate about fostering a positive working culture with colleagues to optimise teamwork and obtain tangible results, while continuously preserving quality and ethics for clients and Scitech’s employees.

Brian Pentland
Quality, Health, Safety & Environmental Manager
Brian is responsible for ensuring that Scitech maintains the highest level of environmental, health and safety standards, and that we meet all our regulatory requirements. He oversees the execution of all requirements of the Construction Design and Management Regulations and that we follow best practice guidance.
Brian is an Incorporated Member of the Association of Project Safety and Chartered Engineer and holds extensive knowledge of engineering and project management in environments from general manufacturing facilities to highly regulated industries such as nuclear and pharmaceuticals.

John Whittle
Senior Quantity Surveyor / Trustee
John is a Senior Quantity Surveyor working within our commercial department, supporting all Scitech design, construction, and validation activities across our life science and biotechnology experts. He is also an employee elected Trustee of Scitech Trustee Limited and works closely with the Scitech Board of Directors and The Scitech Employee Owners Forum in regard to the Employee Ownership of Scitech.
John has more than 15 years’ experience in the construction industry working as a quantity surveyor/commercial manager in the life sciences and technology sectors for the majority of this time.
John has a BSc (Hons) degree in Quantity Surveying Consultancy and is a Chartered Surveyor with the Royal Institution of Chartered Surveyors (RICS).
