Celebrating progress and commitment on International Women’s Day

This International Women’s Day, we want our celebrations to last beyond the day’s events and so we decided to shine a light on the gender pay gap within our sector.

Our Women at Scitech group gathered for a special celebratory lunch and learn session, where we took a moment to reflect on our collective journey towards gender equality and celebrate the positive efforts we’ve made in addressing the gender pay gap (GPG) within our organisation.

The group of female colleagues took part in insightful discussions about GPG, its implications in our sector, and our progress compared to the national average.

Narrowing our Gender Pay Gap

We are proud that our commitment to narrowing the GPG has resulted in continuous improvement year on year. Despite operating in a traditionally male-dominated sector, Scitech’s GPG is now on par with the national average. This achievement underscores our dedication to fostering an inclusive and equitable workplace.

However, we recognise that there is always more work to be done. Our focus remains on increasing the representation of women in our talent pipeline and encouraging their advancement into strategic roles. We believe that by doing so, we can further bridge the gender gap and continue to build a diverse and thriving organisation.

Attractive workplace

In our discussions, we emphasised the importance of creating an attractive workplace for all women, irrespective of their career stage or caring responsibilities. We understand that a truly inclusive organisation accommodates the diverse needs and challenges faced by women in the workforce. Scitech is committed to being a place where every woman feels valued, supported, and empowered.
