In 2018, as part of our main UK office move to Godalming Surrey, we teamed up with local school, St Hilary’s Preparatory School, for a time capsule project. St Hilary’s is an independent preparatory day school for girls and boys from reception to year 6. Last summer they were tasked to come up with ideas of what STEM will look like 50 years in the future. The winning ideas are stored in our time capsule encapsulated in the wall of our main UK office building in Godalming.
Scitech are proud to be promoting and inspiring the next generation towards STEM – every pupil at St Hilary’s entered an idea. Entries ranged from hoverboards to robot worlds. We picked our top five for their imagination, impact on our world and particularly for their adaptation and relevance to Life Sciences!
The children with the top five ideas visited our office for a morning of fun activities based around STEM. They also got to put their winning ideas inside the time capsule.
It was great to see all the different ideas they entered and even better to get them enthusiastic about STEM and the future. If you would like to see more about St Hilary’s, click here www.sthilarysschool.com and stayed tuned in 50 years to see if their predictions came true!
Also included in the Scitech Time Capsule are children’s art from our office launch party for Scitech families to celebrate the budding artists and Scitech’s growth, our current marketing materials to see how Scitech will progress and a signed card to Scitech of the future from all our Godalming office staff.
