The Quality Consultancy Services team at Scitech work with our Life Sciences (Pharmaceutical, Biotech and Healthcare) clients to help them deliver facilities and equipment that meet the strict regulatory requirements of these industry sectors.
What we’re looking for
We are looking for a Computer Systems Validation Specialist to work within our QCS team. This is an entry level role for a graduate of computer systems engineering or a similar degree. The work will vary by project but may include:
Key Skills and Competencies:
Knowledge / familiarity of EU & US GxP regulations in relation to CSV in one or more of the following:
- Planning implementation of one or more computerised systems.
- Documenting user requirements.
- Reviewing system design and assessing it for compliance with client and regulatory requirements.
- Writing test documents (or reviewing those generated by others) and executing those tests.
- Reporting on completed stages and projects.
Please note that although computerised system skills are required (see below) this is not a software development role. The ability to interact with system developers to obtain information required for the tasks above is key.
You will be a proactive team member working with both Scitech peers and clients to help achieve Scitech’s business objectives. You will be supported in your role by senior Scitech colleagues who will assist you in understanding the industry in which we work and help develop your skills.
In order to fulfil this role, you will have the following:
- Knowledge and aptitude for understanding computerised systems, either IT or automation based. You will understand how data is generated, transmitted and stored and how it can be protected from unauthorised manipulation.
- Ability to write well structured, concise, readable technical documents.
- Experience in computerised system testing, both documenting and performing is desirable but not essential.
- Proficiency in Word, Excel, PowerPoint and ideally Visio.
- Specific healthcare industry knowledge is advantageous but not expected.
You will also be expected to undertake Continuing Professional Development (CPD) to ensure competency in accordance with the requirements of the role.
You will be predominantly based at our client sites and expected to visit our Scitech offices as required. Therefore the role will require a great deal of flexibility and a willingness to travel and stay away from home.
