Architect – Cardiff, Wales

If you are a UK registered architect, based in South Wales or South West England, preferably holding Chartered Architect status with a minimum of 5 years relevant practice, then we have a role within our award-winning business in our brand-new regional office in Cardiff.

This is an exciting opportunity to work with an employee owned, multi-disciplinary design, construction and consultancy company operating in the UK and Europe. We specialise in the pharmaceutical, biotechnology, life science and technology sectors, with a broad customer base including large corporate clients.

With knowledge and appreciation of working with BIM/CAD design tools and experience & skills with NBS specification software you must also be commercially aware. In addition you will have good knowledge of construction techniques and products, and the experience and ability to interface with a multi-disciplinary team and integrate design work. When leading projects you must be able to take responsibility for overall design leadership of other design disciplines. You will be contractually and commercially competent and confident.

As well as maintaining adequate Continuing Professional Development related to your professional status, you will need to ensure familiarity and competence with all areas relevant to the operations of the Company. We’re looking for someone who is interested in actively pursuing ongoing improvement in quality, efficiency, innovation, and general practice within designs and the architectural design team

The role will require visiting client sites and hence flexibility towards travelling will be required along with a full driving licence.
