Accounts Assistant: April 2013

Job Title:  Accounts Assistant

Responsible to:  Accountant

Key Competencies:  Capable of working as a proactive, dynamic and reliable team member. Previous accounting experience is not essential as full training will be given including support for obtaining qualifications.

Particular Responsibilities:

  1. Data entry of weekly timesheets submitted by all employees. Issue weekly reports and resolve queries.
  2. Process Purchase Ledger invoices including data entry, arranging for approval and payment.
  3. Monthly and quarterly VAT returns for UK, Belgium and the Netherlands.
  4. Credit control duties ensuring sales invoices are paid promptly.
  5. Assisting the Commercial Department with various ad hoc clerical tasks
